The total number of delegates would be around 200 participants. The anticipated breakdown is as follows.

National delegates: These include:

    1. Permanent Secretaries/Director Generals of ministries of agriculture and finance (max 30 pars);
    2. representatives of farmer organizations (15 pars);
    3. representatives of the agribusiness sector (15 pars);
    4. representatives of NARS (15 pars); and
    5. representatives of major banks that currently or potentially active in the agricultural and agribusiness sector (20 pars).
Regional delegates: They include:
    1. participants from the organizing REC (max 5 pars);
    2. representatives from other regional organizations/communities (5 pars);
    3. representatives of regional organizations of farmers and agribusiness groups (5 pars)
    4. representatives of sub-regional research organizations (3 pars)
International delegates: They include the following:
    1. representatives of G8 and the EC (max 20 pars);
    2. representatives of other bilateral development partners who are lead financial partners (10 pars);
    3. representatives of multilateral organizations: World Bank, ADB, FAO, IFAD, WFP, ECA (20 pars);
    4. representatives of CGIAR Centers and other lead technical partners (15 pars);
    5. representatives of international agribusiness companies (12 pars)
Meeting Format

The format of the meetings has taken into account the large number of participants in order to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity. The format involves the use of working groups around tasks that are focused and result-based. Such tasks are designed around the concept notes and the criteria, indicators, and guidelines defined the Technical Guide referred to above.
