As part of his on-going engagements at the United Nations during the NEPAD Africa week, CEO Dr Ibrahim Mayaki held a bilateral meeting with Algeria’s Ambassador to the United Nations Mr Mourad Benmehidi.
Dr Mayaki has cautioned that the growing youth population in Africa, which has access to modern & rapid communications systems could impact adversely on the Africa nation state, if social inequality & the current systems of government are not revised.
Senior media gatekeepers have been called upon to partner with development institutions such as the NEPAD Agency, to ensure that the citizens of Africa are well informed about the positive transformation of the continent.
The NEPAD Agency Annual Report 2012 highlights the importance of exploring innovative approaches in sustainably addressing Africa’s development challenges and implementing strong policy frameworks to strengthen our partnerships and establish new ones.

NEPAD Agency CEO Dr Ibrahim Mayaki and Minister and Council General of the South Korean Embassy, Kim Young Chae, met today at the NEPAD Offices in Midrand, to explore new areas of cooperation in the field of Information Communication Technologies (ICTs).
Representatives of African governments, UN Agencies, the AUC and other strategic development partners have concluded a two day meeting of the NEPAD Steering Committee in Centurion, South Africa, with a clear map of activities for the Agency.
