The Africa Food and Nutrition Security Day was endorsed by the African Heads of State and Governments during the 15th AU Summit held in Kampala, Uganda. This say is to be commemorated annually by all member states on 30th October.

The forthcoming 3rd African Regional Meeting aims to extend this discourse and to primarily validate the key messages for the Fourth High Leven Forum (4HLF) in Busan, Korea later in 2011.

The 17th Assembly of Heads of State and Government of the African Union (AU) is scheduled to take place from 23 June to 1st July 2011, under the theme: “Accelerating Youth Empowerment for Sustainable Development”

The Kingdom of Lesotho to host an Expert Group Meeting, known as the “Africa Regional Media Dialogue”, dedicated to the promotion of the New Partnership for Africa’s Development (NEPAD).
