The NEPAD Agency will hold a conference from September 3 to September 6 in South Africa, to evaluate the success of BioFISA, a programme designed to use biosciences to alleviate poverty and enhance sustainable development in the Southern African Development Community (SADC).
Senior government officials from the South Africa’s Department of Science and Technology, the Finnish Government, development partners, SADC member states and the NEPAD Agency are expected to attend the conference, which will be addressed by the Agency’s Chief Executive Officer Dr Ibrahim Mayaki at the opening on September 3.
