NEPAD INFRASTRUCTURE CONFERENCE
Emperors Palace Conference Centre, Kempton Park, Johannesburg from 26 to 27 October 2011
The NEPAD Agency and NEPAD Business Foundation (NBF) will be hosting the 2011 NEPAD Infrastructure Conference.
The conference is meant to develop an understanding of continental infrastructure programmes and together with financiers, engineering firms, construction companies and development agencies, review and discuss current infrastructure projects which are in pre-feasibility, feasibility and project packaging stage in order to coordinate these key infrastructure players within these programmes.
The conference will highlight the processes of the Programme for Infrastructure Development in Africa (PIDA), Presidential Infrastructure Championing Initiative (PICI) and the Institutional Architecture for Infrastructure Development in Africa (IAIDA). This important event will allow the private sector, government and development partners to reflect on infrastructure in Africa under NEPAD in the past 10 years while reviewing recent developments of private sector engagements on PIDA across the continent towards the future. This two day initiative will feed into and support PIDA and PICI programmes, and provide a necessary platform for relevant stakeholders to become part of the future of infrastructure on the continent.
