In a statement read on behalf of Dr Jean Ping, the Chairperson of the AUC, NEPAD’s CEO Dr Ibrahim Mayaki, called on the Pan African Parliament to encourage member states to sign the African Charter on Democracy, Elections and Governance.

This Mission is led by Barrister Akere Muna, appointed to supervise the review of this West African countries in the areas of Democracy and Political Governance, Economic Governance and Management, Socio-economic Development and Corporate Governance.
The proposal made by some participants to include “Governance of Organizations” as an additional component or in replacement of “Corporate Governance” will be examined by the APRM.
