Second Semi-Annual Progress Report June 2006–June 2007

This paper reports results of the analyses of data and information provided by concerned countries and Regional Economic Committees (RECs) in response to questionnaires on progress in the implementation of the Abuja Declaration on Fertilizer for an African Green Revolution. The questionnaire covered the period June 2006–June 2007. The questionnaires had two purposes: (1) collect data and information to use as benchmarks against which future progress could be monitored and (2) assess progress in implementation of the Abuja Declaration since June 2006. Twenty countries and five RECs sent in completed questionnaires. Based on results of the analysis, the report makes the following conclusions and recommendations.
