SA HAS the most advanced agricultural sector and value chain but it is behind its SADC peers in implementing the Comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development Programme of NEPAD.

The AU and its NEPAD Programme have made a concrete proposal for Implementing the G20 Commitment towards Smallholder Producers.

The Agreement aims to support the implementation of joint efforts between the NEPAD Agency and Ministry of Agriculture of the People’s Republic of China (MoA)in support of the implementation of Africa’s agriculture and rural development agenda.

The AU-NEPAD Agriculture Climate Change Adaptation-Mitigation Framework is formulated by the AU-NEPAD Agency as part of its continental mandates to coordinate and oversee implementation of CAADP as a delivery mechanism for agricultural development.
