Highlights from the 'NEPAD Symposium on bioenergy in the SADC region', where delegates reviewed and measured the current state of development in Bio and Renewable markets in Southern Africa. They also identified key issues that will help new and existing enterprises to secure and retain the benefits of Africa's Bio-feedstocks and Natural Resources which are now valued as the primary raw materials for so many of our future fuel, power and chemical replacement solutions.
Co-produced by NEPAD Agency and UNECA, this video documentary is exploring the NEPAD journey after a decade of existence. NEPAD stakeholders and NEPAD projects beneficiaries without embellishment are tackling challenges, acknowledging successes and looking forward to the next decade of positive change within the continent.

Une décennie après sa création, le Nouveau Partenariat pour le Développement de l’Afrique (NEPAD), piloté par l’Agence du NEPAD a, à son actif, plusieurs programmes en cours d’exécution mais méconnus du grand public.
Wari fait le point sur les programmes clefs de l’Agence du NEPAD, une institution de l’Union Africaine basée en Afrique du Sud, qui a pour entre autres missions, d’éradiquer la pauvreté et d’intégrer le continent par des projets infrastructurels fédérateurs.
Dr. Ibrahim Assane Mayaki in his Keynote Address, speaks to participants at the AMRH Programme Launch of the East African Medicines Regulatory Harmonization (EAC-MRH) Project at the Ngurdoto Mountain Lodge, Arusha, Tanzania. Dr Mayaki who joined the event by telecast addressed over 200 participants, including high-level delegates and officials from the Pan-African Parliament (PAP), African Union Commission (AUC), the NEPAD Agency, EAC Sectoral Council of Ministers of Health, Partner states’ Ministries of East African Community Affairs and Health including National Medicines Regulatory Authorities (NMRAs) and National Parliamentary Health Committees, international donor agencies supporting the AMRH initiative such as the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI), German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), UNIDO, European Medicines Agency (EMA), United States Food and Drug Administration (US-FDA), Health Canada, European Union and the Center for Innovation in Regulatory Science (CIRS). Additionally, representatives from other regional economic communities (RECs) in Africa, regional manufacturing associations, civil society organizations and product development partnerships (PDPs).
