ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF DRIVER, OFFICE OF THE CEO AND DRIVERS/MAIL RUNNERS
NEPAD Agency drivers are responsible for safe transportation of the Agency’s officials and visitors to and from various destinations within South Africa as well as delivery and collection of mails relating to the Agency’s activities. The drivers are supervised by the Head of Finance, Budgeting and Administration Division, except the CEO’s driver who is answerable directly to the Office of the CEO. For efficient use of vehicles, Drivers/Mail runners are expected to maintain a variety of records, such as purpose of trip, trip sheet, time spent at each stop, number of passengers per day, mileage, fuel usage as well as vehicle inspection and maintenance. Work performance is reviewed through observation and review of records of each driver. It is the responsibility of each driver to care for and maintain assigned vehicle, wash and clean the interior and take it to garage for maintenance and repair.

Project name: Capacity Development
Scope of the work
The specific objective of the assignment is to enhance on-going CDP interventions with COMESA and ECOWAS while initiating APDev rollout in SADC and EAC. The new set of RECs will require a review of capacity needs assessments focusing on institutional strengthening and the value addition of the APDev Mechanism to their Knowledge exchange requirements.
The consultant will undertake the development of an inter-REC knowledge exchange system and dialogue series in conjunction with the APDev Knowledge Manager and Coordinator.
These activities are designed to ensure harmonization between CD interventions at the RECs towards addressing the Africa’s CD challenge meaningfully and holistically.

Project name: Capacity Development- Africa Platform
Scope of the work
The consultant will support the NEPAD Agency by providing technical input, sourcing knowledge (articles, publications etc) on the 3 themes of Financing for Development (FfD); South-South Cooperation and Capacity Development broadly along Sectoral lines. In addition, the Coordinator will provide guidance on the continuous improvements of the APDev web platform. Overall, the Consultant will assist in further developing the APDev knowledge platform; nourishing a vibrant community of practice on Capacity Development, South South Cooperation and Financing for Development; facilitate the development of Inter-RECs APDev Knowledge exchange system; develops APDev links within the African Union architecture; source current news, African and global events involving the AUC, NEPAD, RECs and countries as well as spearhead stakeholder mobilization and membership drive for sustainability. The consultant will work closely with the APDev Portal Management Company in ensuring accessibility and usefulness of the CD Learning Platform.

- Technical proposal containing:
- Detailed Curriculum Vitae of consultants.
- Approach and methodology to be used in undertaking the assignment.
- Details of similar assignments previously undertaken.
- Financial proposal
- Prices should be in USD or ZAR (only for South African bidders)
- The Financial proposal shall not exceed a budget of ZAR 147,200 - Please fill in Annex II (Finance Proposal)
