Research and Knowledge Management
The aims of the AMRH Programme under this theme are to provide a platform for knowledge generation, peer learning, research and information gathering and sharing. This includes creating knowledge and learning arenas that form the bases for long-term planning, development and implementation of programmes and projects among member states, partners and other stakeholders.

Advocacy
The aim of the AMRH Programme under this theme is to influence public policy and resource allocation decisions within political, economic and social systems and institutions.
The strategic objective is to build political and policy leadership in the AU and its organs to remove barriers to harmonisation of medicines regulations.
Key activities
- Advocating for the development of a model law.
The AMRH Programme is coordinating preliminary work for the development of a model law for medicines regulatory harmonisation in Africa
- Advocating for champions of Medicines Regulatory Harmonisation
NEPAD Agency through the AMRH Programme is advocating at high level African Union and regional meetings on medicine regulatory harmonisation on the continent
Monitoring and evaluation
The aim of the AMRH Programme under this theme is to institute performance measurement tools based on NPCA indicators.
The strategic objective and key activity is strengthening the monitoring and evaluation of African medicines regulations harmonisation.
