NEPAD CEO's address at the Launch of the Medicines Registration Harmonisation project

Dr. Ibrahim Assane Mayaki in his Keynote Address, speaks to participants at the AMRH Programme Launch of the East African Medicines Regulatory Harmonization (EAC-MRH) Project at the Ngurdoto Mountain Lodge, Arusha, Tanzania. Dr Mayaki who joined the event by telecast addressed over 200 participants, including high-level delegates and officials from the Pan-African Parliament (PAP), African Union Commission (AUC), the NEPAD Agency, EAC Sectoral Council of Ministers of Health, Partner states’ Ministries of East African Community Affairs and Health including National Medicines Regulatory Authorities (NMRAs) and National Parliamentary Health Committees, international donor agencies supporting the AMRH initiative such as the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI), German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), UNIDO, European Medicines Agency (EMA), United States Food and Drug Administration (US-FDA), Health Canada, European Union and the Center for Innovation in Regulatory Science (CIRS). Additionally, representatives from other regional economic communities (RECs) in Africa, regional manufacturing associations, civil society organizations and product development partnerships (PDPs).
