Skills initiative for Africa (SIFA)

Invites you to participate in a Webinar

Date: 27th September

Time: 14h30-16h00 (South Africa GMT)

Topic: Labour Market Information Systems (LMIS)

Growing youth unemployment in Africa poses a fundamental challenge for the entire continent. Some 60 per cent of Africa’s jobless are under the age of 25, and a very high proportion of them are young women. Furthermore, access to good quality appropriate education and job opportunities is vital to reducing poverty, ensuring political stability, promoting sustainable development and enabling social participation. Since resources are scarce education and skills programmes need to ensure that the skills and qualifications provided respond to market needs, not only for today but for tomorrow too.
