Representatives of African governments, international organisations and development partners are in Addis Ababa, the Ethiopian capital, for the 44th Meeting of NEPAD Steering Committee, ahead of the African Union Summit on July 15.

Africa’s decision to have a common voice at the UN Sustainable Development Conference will help advance the continent’s agenda at international conferences, ending past marginalization, the NEPAD Agency has said.

In commemoration of South Africa’s Youth Day on June 16, the NEPAD Agency hosted some University students to brainstorm on developmental issues confronting Africa.

A two-day Dialogue in the South African coastal city of Durban, between the NEPAD Agency - and its main partners has culminated in a cornerstone agreement on how better to manage and the Agency.

A high level meeting has convened in Durban to discuss how best to implement the New Partnership for Africa Development (NEPAD) Programme.

The NEPAD Planning and Coordinating Agency in collaboration with the Economic Commission for Africa(ECA) will hold a two-day meeting with key stakeholders to discuss ways to work together in the implementation of the NEPAD Programme.

“Every semester we target an international organization to learn about and undertake a field trip to see how they work and this semester NEPAD was a perfect fit for us” stated Dr. Brosig when explaining the purpose of their visit.
