Key Results

  • NEPAD Agency and JICA jointly established the Africa Kaizen Initiative (AKI) in 2017. Only eight AU Member States, including Tunisia have adopted Kaizen management.
  • The pilot Skills Initiative for Africa Program (SIFA) was launched in Tunisia and four other pilot countries. The Initiative aims to support Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) as a means of increasing employment opportunities mainly for youth and women.
  • Tunisia is a part of the North Africa Transmission (DFS) project, which involves the construction of a 2,700 km transmission line from Morocco to Egypt through Algeria, Tunisia and Libya.
  • Tunisia is among the countries that received advocacy support, which contributed to strengthening of Negotiation Capacities of African countries on Post-2015 Development Agenda through the Common African Position (CAP).
