In the Republic of Mali, funds were was disbursed towards supporting 7 projects on promotion of women's entrepreneurship, capacity building for women's participation in local governance, reduction of gender inequalities in access to the benefits of water, and sanitation services popularisation, ratification and domestication of the African Union Protocol on rights of women; and other regional projects.

The organisations that were supported in the Republic of Mali include; CFEMA (Coordination Nationale des Femmes Entrepreneurs du Mali), GAAS (Group d’animation action au Sahel Mali), Consortium Six S Grapes (Groupe de Recherche Action pour la Promotion Économique et Sociale), EAA (Eau et Assainissement pour l’Afrique), Equality Now, REPAO (Le Réseau sur les Politiques de Pêche en Afrique de l’Ouest) and AWOMI (African Women Millennium Initiative). In total, 11642 women and men were reached through the advancement of women rights and gender equality and human rights projects.
