In the Republic of Niger, funds were disbursed towards supporting three projects on youth, gender and HIV/AIDS, construction of an operating theatre, establishment of a production unit for veterinary biotechnology products, training and sensitization on approaches to gender, family planning and STI/HIV/AIDS, socio-economic empowerment of 350 female artisans and advocacy for ratification without reservation of the Maputo Protocol.

The organisations that were supported in the Republic of Niger include SADEV (Health and Development), AGEN (Association des Guides et des Eclaireuses du Niger) and DIMOL SAFEM (Agence du Salon international de l’Artisanat pour la Femme). In total, 775865 women and men were reached through the advancement of women rights and gender equality and human rights projects.
