NSF disbursed funds to five organisation working in the Federal Republic of Nigeria to support of popularisation, ratification and domestication of the African Union Protocol on rights of women, building capacity of legal communities in human rights of adolescent girls, water project, capacity strengthening of CSOs and women leaders in governance, capacity building programme for women organisations and fund-raising and grant-making initiative to support African women’s movements.

The organisations received assistance in the Federal Republic of Nigeria, include Equality Now, JOFA (Jewels of Faith Academy), CRUDAN (Christian Rural and Urban Development Association of Nigeria), REPAO (Le Réseau sur les Politiques de Pêche en Afrique de l’Ouest) and AWDF (African Women’s Development Fund). In total, 125323 men and women were reached through the provision of grants to assist with economic empowerment projects.
