In the Republic of Senegal, funds were disbursed towards supporting eight projects on African Gender Forum and Award, Improving and Securing Access to Land for Rural Women, Promoting women entrepreneurship in rural areas through the establishment of agro-food processing enterprises, Upgrading the capacities of micro and small agro-processing enterprises to improve sector visibility locally and nationally, Capacity building programme for women organisations among others.

The organisations that were supported in the Republic of Senegal, include FAS Senegal (Femmes Afrique Solidarité-Sénégal), ENDA PRONAT (Association pour l'Environnement et Developpement Action pour une Protection Naturelle des Terroirs), PN-PTFM (Programme national plateformes multifonctionelles pour la lutte contre la pauvreté au Senegal), PANALE (Produits Africains Normalisés et Accessibles pour un Développement Local et Environnemental), Enda Graf Sahel, REPAO (Le Réseau sur les Politiques de Pêche en Afrique de l’Ouest), Equality Now and AWOMI (African Women Millennium Initiative). In total, 14423 women and men were reached through the advancement of women rights and gender equality and human rights projects.
