In the Republic of South Africa, funds were disbursed towards supporting five projects on the Teen challenge project, development and implementation of an intervention to reduce gender based violence, young women civil sector capacity building for leadership development and energising local economic development and sustainable livelihoods.

The organisations that were supported in the Republic of South Africa, include TCSA (Teen Challenge South Africa), SAMRC (South African Medical Research Council), SAWID (South African Women in Dialogue), WDF (Women Development Foundation), LeadAfrika (Afrika Leadership Development Institute). In total, 14975 women and men were reached through the advancement of women rights and gender equality and human rights projects.
