In the Republic of Uganda funds were disbursed towards supporting projects on enhancing income growth among small and micro women entrepreneurs, fund-raising and grant-making initiative to support African women’s movements, addressing women’s livelihoods and their land rights through gender equality, supporting asset building for poverty eradication among women, economic empowerment women entrepreneurs network and empowerment of African women project.

The organisations that were supported in the Republic of Uganda, include WOUGNET (Women of Uganda Network), AWDF (African Women’s Development Fund), CLEAR (The Centre for Land, Economy and Rights of Women), AFFRO (African Women Foundation), FDC (Foundation for Community Development) and Graça Machel Trust Fund. In total, 922 women and men were reached through the advancement of women rights and gender equality and human rights projects.
