In the Republic of Zimbabwe, funds were disbursed towards supporting projects on women empowerment: energising local economic development and sustainable livelihoods and popularisation, ratification and domestication of the African Union Protocol on rights of women.

The organisations that were supported in the Republic of Zimbabwe, include LeadAfrika (Afrika Leadership Development Institute) and Equality Now. LeadAfrika’s intervention facilitated capacity building among the economic stakeholders/actors in 4 communities from South Africa, Mozambique, Swaziland and Zimbabwe.
