Overview

Vinya Wa Aka Group (VWAG) assisted 60 women in creating wealth by investing in sectors such as the Nairobi Stock Exchange, Mutual funds, Endowment funds, and bonds. The project sensitized women in rural Kenya (Eastern Province) with pertinent information on how they can mobilize and invest their funds for maximum benefits in areas normally considered to be the domain of men. 

Key results

  • In the long run, the project unlocked the women’s economic potential, fought poverty, closed gender gaps and empowered women.
  • VWAG arrange for skilled professionals from 3 established companies to mentor and train the woman in the nuances of financial instruments.
