NEPAD to strengthen South-South Cooperation with Sri Lanka

NEPAD Agency CEO Dr Ibrahim Mayaki and Sri Lanka’s High Commissioner to South Africa, Mr Shehan Ratnavale met this week at the NEPAD Offices in Midrand, to explore new areas of South-South cooperation. The meeting took place in view of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) to be held in Colombo, Sri Lanka in November this year. During the visit, Dr Mayaki briefed Mr Ratnavale on some of NEPAD’s flagship programmes such as the Partnership for African Fisheries (PAF), Programme for Infrastructure Development in Africa (PIDA), Comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development Programme (CAADP). They also discussed the progress being made in the implementation of some of these programmes in Africa.
