NEPAD @ the Sustainable Energy for All (SE4ALL) Workshop
The NEPAD Agency, UNDP and SADC hosted three back-to-back workshops, from 22-26 April at the SADC House in Gaborone, Botswana. The workshops were aimed at enabling African Countries to provide modern energy resources to their citizens. The meetings were organised in conjunction with the AUC, African Development Bank (AfDB), and Africa Platform for Development Effectiveness (APDev).
Participants visiting the Solar ights “exhibition” – Solar lamps are used for general illumination where centrally generated power is not conveniently or economically available. Solar-powered lighting may displace light sources such as kerosene lamps, saving money for the user, and reducing fire and pollution hazards.
