Panel discussion summary

The Skills Initiative For Africa (SIFA) facilitated a panel discussion at the Innovating Education in Africa Expo in Dakar, Senegal. The event was organised by the African Union Commission together with the Government of the Republic of Senegal. 

The panel discussion was held to showcase innovative approaches in addressing school to work transition approaches that are being employed across the Continent. The aim was to demonstrate existing approaches and reflect on the challenges and opportunities towards effecting systems –wide approaches for youth employment acceleration. Furthermore the panel, showcased an example of the required conversation between the private sector and service providers and the significance of collaboration to upscale and replicate existing  innovative approaches in the area of employment oriented skills development.
