The Southern Africa Network for Biosciences (SANBio) Network supported by the Finnish-Southern African Partnership Programme to strengthen the Southern African Network for Biosciences (BioFISA II Programme) will be hosting an Annual Event from 21-22 February 2017 at Birchwood Hotel, 14 Viewpoint Road in Boksburg, South Africa.
Under the theme, Achieving Inclusive Growth, the meeting will convene regional and global leaders from business, government and civil society to explore solutions that create economic opportunities for all.
Participants will explore measures to achieve inclusive and sustainable growth. For example, the Fourth Industrial Revolution offers the potential to fast-track market integration in Africa through industrial corridors by connecting markets, revitalizing manufacturing and integrating innovation.
AMRH will be hosting a side event at the World Economic Forum (WEF) and attached is the final overview and programme for the event.

About 10 million young Africans arrive each year on the labour market. Africa Day celebrates the day when the Organisation of African Unity (OAU), the precursor to the African Union, was formed in 1963 on 25 May. It acknowledges the progress made by Africans while reflecting upon the common challenges we face in a global environment.
The first international conference and exposition of the World Aquaculture Society (WAS) will convene on the African Continent at the end of this month. The event will attract wide sponsorship and support from African development institutions including the African Union (the NEPAD Agency and AU-IBAR) and the South African Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries.
"The 4th Global Science Conference on Climate-Smart Agriculture (The 4th GSC-CSA)" takes forward the initiative on research and science started in October 2010 with the aim to bring science to bear on practical advances in scaling up climate smart agriculture. Three scientific conferences have been held so far (University of Wageningen in 2011; University of California, Davis in 2013 and in Montpellier in 2015). Africa under the custodianship of the NEPAD Agency is hosting the 4th GSC-CSA from the 28th to 30th November, 2017 in Johannesburg, South Africa.
